Type I US Coast Guard approved life jackets are on board, and children under 13 are required to wear an approved life jacket. Our 24 ft Carolina Yachts boat is very stable and was built to US Coast Guard safety guidelines. Bring sun protection and clothes that can get wet. Snacks and drinks are welcome (no open containers on the boat).

How many guests can come on a custom charter?

Every custom charter is private, for one party of 2 to 6 guests per boat.

Where does a custom charter depart?

Our regular pickup is the Emerald Isle Boat Ramp at 6800 Emerald Drive, Emerald Isle, NC 28594. Staying in Swansboro? Inquire about a different pickup location, and tell us if you'd like to see tours departing from Swansboro.

Where do I park for a custom charter?

Keep right all the way down the hill and continue straight back to the single-car parking lot directly in front of the boat ramps. Please avoid the truck-and-trailer parking (the extra-long spaces).

Can I celebrate a birthday or special occasion?

Yes. Private trips suit birthdays, anniversaries, proposals, family trips and visiting relatives. Tell us what you're celebrating when you inquire, and we'll help plan the moment.

Can we plan a picnic?

Yes. A custom charter gives you time for a picnic on a quiet island beach. Bring your own food and drinks (no open containers on the boat). Among our set trips, the 3-hour Shelling Adventure and the 5-hour Serious Shellers Cruise also have time for a picnic.

Can we swim on a custom charter?

Yes. Swimming is welcome on Custom Private Charters. Spend part of your trip cruising the sound and part of it swimming and relaxing on a quiet island beach.

Can I bring my dog or my kids?

Pets are welcome, so please email or call us about your pet. Children ages 1 and up are welcome, and children under 13 are required to wear an approved life jacket. Type I US Coast Guard approved life jackets are on board.

What if the weather is bad?
